feeding

My daughter is almost three weeks and sometimes she will eat three oz's or almost four & sometimes she will eat two.....usually always between two - three hours, yet sometimes i have to wake her up to feed.... Is this normal?....

  • Yes, it sounds normal. Although I've never waken a baby to feed. Mine at that age would go about 4 hours between feedings, sometimes.

  • It sounds fine but stop waking her up! She will wake up if she's hungry.

  • I had the same problem with my younger daughter... her doctor said that it's ok to jump over a meal but... not 2 meals. Anyway she used to sleep around 6 hours and then wake up and eat.
