  • Try googling "dehydration" and make sure that she doesn't have any of the warning signs. If it just started last night, I would probably wait it out another day unless I saw anything dramatic signs. Even if you can get her to sip a tablespoon of water (or other liquids) every hour, it would help a lot. *** Pedialite is the best choice, but apple juice, 7-up, gatorade, etc are other options for her too, to get some liquids in her little tummy.

  • If she has no fever, that's good!

With diarrhea, though, steer clear of ANY drinks with sugar. Stick to water and (as long as she's not vomiting) let her have any starchy food she wants....breads, crackers, rice, potatoes, bananas, etc. Starches and carbs will help bulk up her poop.

Watch her eyes that they are still moist (and when she crys she still produces tears). Check that the inside of her mouth is still moist. If either start to dry out, have her seen.

  • oh we had that problem with our oldest when she was a baby.try swiching tyanol and motrin. one dose tyanol 4 hrs later at next dose give her motin that will help keep the fever down. odds are the fever will be back tonight.and since shes not drinking anything try to get a meds dropper and put sprite in it and shot it in her mouth...odds ar e she will drink it..we had to do that before. if she starts to vomit than give the sprit in small amounts or u can give her any clear drink in the dropper. just shot it in her mouth. she might cry (mine did) becouse she dont feel good and dont want anything to drink but it willkeep her from getting dehydrated.i wish u lots of luck and i hope this works for you. it worke with our daughter.just make sure she gets the drink.

  • I would wait as long as she't not lethargic and still peeing. Try and see if she will take anything liquid... maybe stuff she doesn't normally get (popsicles, jello... even soda!) or go buy a special cup. Just try to keep her hydrated.

  • Fevers go crazy at night...and 103 is somthing to worry about that isnt a low grade fever thats considers med-high grade.she was close to 104 and at 105-106 there is a risk of brain damage i would insist on taking her to the er. so you dont stress out tonight.....or call the doctor on call to see what he has to say.....

and if she doesnt eat or drink anything that is a risk all in itself......take her to the er....for both of your sakes.
