Does every woman get the spotting or blood discharge before labor?

  • No. The bloody show is usually after your water breaks and not all women have it break on its own. Some get it after the mucus plug falls out which is normal so in a way yes we all get it, its just a matter of how much bloody show you have I guess and why you have it.

  • I never seen blood. i lost my mucous plug, then 3 days later my water broke.

  • Well, I started cramping in late afternoon, began getting mild contractions sometime late in the evening, after I'd gone to bed, and didn't see blood until I got up to use the bathroom sometime after midnight. My son was born the next afternoon. :-)
