It's pretty common to feel the intensity of contractions in parts of your body where you normally hold tension. Does your throat and jaw tighten up when you're under stress or feeling tension at work or home? At times when you're not feeling BH contractions, practice tightening and relaxing your neck, jaw, and throat muscles. Even if you're planning on using medications when you go into labor, releasing the tension of early contractions will help you deal with them until you've progressed far enough for meds.
