normal or crazy?

my dd just fell asleep by her self, and i feel bad....shes 22 months, and i usually put her to sleep by holding her hand and i feel bad that she got tired enough to fall asleep on her own i feel like i should have put her to sleep sooner.....i dont know, is that normal or am i just crazy?

  • At 22 months she can put herself to sleep and if she is tired enough that is exactly what she will do. If she is sleeping good then why be upset?

  • she must've had a hard day or was just overly tired. i would probably feel the same way you do but things will be good when she gets up and gives you that little smile tomorrows a different day.,

  • She fell asleep on her own, you now know she can do it!! You kept to her bedtime routine, right?

  • its just ever since she was born i had to put her to sleep by holding her hand i dont know i feel like i should have been there i dont know, im probably just a little bit crazy. lol

  • Sometimes when kids are tired they just fall asleep where ever. My 4 year old sometimes falls asleep at the table! That's even after his nap!!!

  • Its perfectly normal....I felt the same way when my son went to sleep on his own...lol
