Does anyone know any home remedies to cure a bad toothache?

  • Get your hands on some whole cloves...the fresher/more pungent the better...and put it right against the affected area. If the pain is coming from in a molar, pack it in the tooth and bite down to get that medicine in there. If the pain is coming from the side of a tooth place it between the gum and your tongue or cheek. There is a natural anesthetic in it that will help numb the area. I made pomander one year with very fragrant cloves and my fingertips were numb by the time I was done. Also, swishing a little bit of whiskey around and spitting it out (or swallowing it!) helps, too.

  • You can rinse with warm salt water. But, remember a toothache can KILL you. You can get septic from an abscessed tooth. Please don't let it go.
