  • Yes, and it's the best way to prevent your baby from getting sick, too! You pass along the antibodies your body's already making, so chances are your baby can fight off any exposure s/he has to the illness. Just wash your hands and don't cough on the baby! :)

  • Yes! In fact by nursing your baby you will pass on to him/her the immunities and antibodies your body is producing to fight off the cold or whatever illness it is that you have.

  • yes you can! And dr's even say that it will boost your child's immune system. Regardless, your w/ your baby ALL the time. If your sick, it's almost impossible for her to not be exposed. They will be exposed to virus's, that's just how it goes & that's how they build immunity.

  • Yes, you cannot get your baby sick through your breastmilk. Depending on your illnes, if you were to cough on your baby it is like with anybody else, there could be a chance. But no not through your milk.

  • Yes yes yes! Your baby will not get sick from your milk and you can actually protect your little one from getting what you have by continuing to nurse. This is because your body produces antibodies that your baby will pick up from your skin when you nurse. So unless you have to take a prescription med that could be dangerous to the baby, keep on nursing! Just make sure you drink enough to stay hydrated.
