  • NO!!!! That is way too acidic. Do not give anything other than breastmilk, formula, or pedialyte

  • Personally, I wouldn't. Call your pedi's office and ask. They can tell you for sure with out a visit. =]

  • No. Breast milk is enough.

  • NOOOOOO! Just nurse him a lot. That will keep him from getting sick. And be careful with your orange juice intake, sometimes that can cause a rash on baby's butt.

  • When you are breastfeeding you don't need to give anything but breastmilk (not even pedialyte, just breastmilk)
According to the AAP "In the first 6 months, water, juice, and other foods are generally unnecessary for breastfed infants."

  • You don't need to. Your breast milk contains antibodies (germ fighters) which is way better than anything OJ can do. Besides it will only make your LO sick.

  • Just keep nursing him. All the extras in your milk will help him heal faster. Also, citrus of any sort should not be given to babies under 12 months of age.

Answer by eema.gray at 3:19 PM on Apr. 20, 2009

  • I wouldn't because of the acid nature of citrus.

  • If you don't want a even sicker baby please don't give him that, its too early.

Answer by diamondmamma at 3:24 PM on Apr. 20, 2009

  • You shouldn't give a baby that age juice that isn't clear (OJ, grapefruit juice, etc). So orange juice is not an option. If you have a strong feeling to give your LO something talk to your doctor first, but definitely not orange juice.

As others have said, nursing usually is enough.
