  • 1 tbsp olive oil
    1 onion, chopped
    1 red bell pepper, chopped
    1 tbsp minced garlic (2 – 3 cloves)
    1 lb ground turkey
    ½ tbsp salt
    2 tbsp chili powder
    ½ tsp ground coriander
    ½ tsp oregano
1 14.5-oz can tiny diced tomatoes (I pureed this because I hate tomato chunks!)
    1 8-oz can tomato sauce
1 15-oz can black beans (rinse and drain)

Heat the oil in a large pot, such as a dutch oven. Add the onion, pepper, and garlic, and cook till onions are translucent. Add the ground turkey and break it up really good. Cook until the meat is no longer pink. Add salt, chili powder, coriander, and oregano and stir. Add tomatoes (like I said, I pureed mine), tomato sauce, and black beans (you rinsed and drained them, right???) Simmer as long as you want, an hour is best.

  • Yummy! That's pretty much how I make my turkey chili! :) I add in about 1/2 tsp of cinnamon too.
