things you wish people told you before you had your first baby

-breastfeeding does not come naturally to every baby and every mother, sometimes you have to work at it
-babies can get colic and the best thing you can do is try not to stress yourself out, because colicky babies take a huge toll on new parents
-if you get PPD you arent a bad person, get help ASAP!
-not all mothers are instantly attached to their kids, some mothers dont feel they their child is THEIRS until the baby is a toddler, because some people just arent baby people (my therapist told me this i didnt make it up)
-you will make mistakes, your child will get hurt, its okay we arent all wonder woman.
-dont listen to anyone, they arent you and they dont know your situation or feelings
-ITS OKAY TO TAKE A BREAK IF YOU NEED ONE! (but its not okay to call your husband saying you're going to throw the baby out the window if he doesnt come home right now ;])

okay your turn!

  • They don't understand everything right away LOL, every time I would see a parent tell their kid something and they listen I was like "wow it works" NOT FOR EVERYONE! All kids are different, some learn faster than others.
Taking them baths is stressful, it doesn't look as easy as it seems.
    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Bottles don't have to be warmed up<<<<<<<<<<< room temp is fine, I wish someone told me that with my first child, dear GOD I struggled getting his bottles made, now it's a breeze with our daughter!
