if u heard about the hijacked plane in jamaica ...

i seen that they said the person who hijacked it was 'mentally challanged' so if he was retarded , do u think they'll give him the lightest sentece possible?

  • That depends. They will naturally do a lot of testing to see to what degree he is considered "mentally challenged". Just because he has a form of disability, doesn't mean he didn't know what he was doing, nor does it mean he will get a lighter sentence. We'll just have to wait and see......

  • well..."retarded" is a highly offensive word OP.... but to answer the question... he should be charged like anyone else... he couldn't be that messed up if he could highjack a plane... and seriously...if a challenged person could do something like this...whats that say about the security??

  • Uh, nice choice of words there OP.. Anyway- it depends honestly of how severe his mentally handicapness is. There are people that are considered mentally handicapped that can live their lives just as anyone else can. If he had the mentality to comprehend how to hijack a plane and what that means, he was probably just mildly handicapped. And no, he shouldnt deserve any lesser of a sentence. It seems like he knew what he was doing.
