  • i don't know who makes them, but i found them at rite aid once, its a bath water dye tab. elmo is on the bottle and its with the bubble bath type stuff. maybe if the water is a diff color it can be an "adventure bath" or go to the dollar store, they have the wash cloths that are like folded into tiny squares when they are put in water they become full size wash cloths, and the little tablets that turn into foam animals. i altered between those methods for about a week or two with my dd when she was afraid of the bath at that age. i also let her put on her swim suit and play in the tub with some toys so it was fun time. maybe that will distract him from the "spiders". if not maybe a shower with you (or dad if dad is in the picture) for a bit til he gets a little older and understands that its not a spider and its not scary. if not, sponge baths until he gets over it. maybe if you put him in the tub while it is empty and CONT

  • bathe him with a cup of water so he doesn't see stuff floating. just get water out of the sink to get him wet, soap him up then get some more water to rinse him off...hope that helps a bit

  • My ds went thru this at about 18 months, the only thing that worked then for us was letting him wear a t shirt in the tub. He got over it in a couple of weeks, but it was hell for those couple of weeks. Now we use the tub tints and bath finger paint to get him to stay sitting down because he always wants to stand up. You can get the tub tints and finger paint at Wal Mart or Target. At Wal Mart they're usually with all the little kid bubble baths and at Target they are in the same section as the infant bath products. Tub tints run about $6 for 100 tablets(we use the sesame street ones) and the finger paints run about $5 for 3 bottles(one each of red, yellow, and blue)(again, the sesame street ones).
