what do you take to eat in a picnic at the beach? when is summer and very hot?

  • mostly fruit. A big watermelon in an ice chest is always fun since the kids don't have to worry with getting all sticky from the juice.

    PB&J works well for us too. We make them on the spot and the jars of pnut butter (or sunflower seed butter) and jelly don't take up a lot of room in the cooler.

    I take LOTS of water and watery drinks (like Gatorade, vitamin water)

  • tons of drinks and refreshing things like fruit, in your cooler. also, snacks that wont get all sandy, like pretzels and rice cakes.
    nothing with mayo!

  • we used to fry chicken the night before. and we would buy some lunch meats chips lots of drinks
