  • we live in the "country" so yeah, there are alot of "deadly" creatures here like rattle snakes, black widows (which i've seen in the bottom of our yard by a log) , i killed a brown recluse this morning, it was in my living room.... they don't come in often but when they do i freak out! there are also coyotes and mtn lions around here too

  • black widows looove our garage. i hate them, but they just won't stay gone!
i know there are more poisonous creatures about, this is georgia afterall. but none of the rest of them seem interested in our little suburban yard. (unless you count fire ants.... eeeeevil creatures....)

  • In addition to the spiders, several poisonous snakes are native to the area. We get a lot of cottonmouths in the yard. We've also had run-ins with killer bees.

  • We have a mountain lion and a bobcat that frequent the area. (have seen the bobcat in our yard-front and back- several times). There was a centipede in our bathroom this weekend. And its not uncommon for a scorpion to end up in the house. We also have a couple lizards that live in our yard( I know they live around the house, because the same ones all the time) and sometimes bats in the trees in the back yard. Lizards and bats aren't deadly, but still trippy. BTW...we live in a housing development...we're not out in boonies or anything and still have a ton of creatures.

  • It's not really too bad where in at, Colorado Springs, we do have Brown Recluse spiders and those are scarry, you just have to tryt and stay out of where they hide. And as far as bear and cougar, they pretty much leave humans alone, unless they have a cub near by...
