  • Read the same book and discuss it. Take turns choosing the book. Find new recipes on the internet and cook together. Take walks in the evening. Play a sport, Tennis is fairly inexpensive. Start a garden, even if you just start small with planters on the patio. Find a craft you both enjoy. Have an independent film festival in your home using Netflix. Play games together cribbage, scrabble, monopoly etc. Volunteer at a local festival, shelter or drive meals to the elderly. Visit art galleries, museums on discount days. Take up photography., then turn your favorite pictures into slideshows. Drive to scenic areas, pack a picnic and take in the beauty.

You can do these activities as a family or as a couple.

  • find a park nearby and go walking. That's what my boyfriend and I do when we're board. Usually, it's one with woods where we can go hiking.

  • Try something new. Go to the theater. Go to see a show of somekind. Go to a movie. Have a small party with your closest friends.

  • Make scrap books. You can make one of your fondest memories of you two together, and get him to make his own. Don't show each other until its completed. It'll be neat to see the things that you each remember the best.
