Can plane travel cause an ear infection in a child?

My cousin said her baby got an ear infection after a short plane flight, due to the air pressure change.
I am going on a plane in 2 months with my baby. Is this true, can this happen?

  • It can cause some problems, just make sure baby is sucking on something like a paci or bottle or breastfeeding when you take off and land and things should be ok.
