  • Ectopic Pregnancy is when the embryo implants in anywhere other than the uterus, generally in the fallopian tube, but there have been cases where the embryo traveled outside the fallopian tube and attached to the outside of the uterus. If you have an ectopic pregnancy in your tube, you'd definitely know it by eight weeks, when the risk of rupture is at it's peak. At six weeks, a doctor should be able to see the sac with an ultrasound. It is quite normal to cramp during early pregnancy. if you are truly worried, talk to your doctor about your concerns. They will put your mind at ease.

  • Not necessarily. It is dangerous. Either way the pregnancy would have to end. If the doctor catches it beforehand, they will have to end the pregnancy before it becomes threatening. If it bursts, you can be in danger and have to be admitted. Just make sure to bring up your concerns with your doctor, or even the desk nurse so that she can make arrangements.
