wallpaper borders..the kind that come sticky and just peel off...

i have that and appliques on my daughters walls, the appliques are fine, however the border is starting to peel off. is there a glue i can use on these or do i have to just get a new border? it is at her eye level, so last night some of it fell on her bed and she got her hair stuck in it in her sleep. so i had to take it down, and shes devastated b/c she loves her elmo room. so i'm just curious does anyone know of a glue that can be used on these? or some kind of tape, i'd really prefer something that can just peel off again. i painted the room yellow specifically so it will go with any theme hate to have to repaint b/c of the border.
