He is driving me crazy!!!

My 7 month old is a terror!! He constantly yells about things and I know he is not hungry, tired, hot or anything. He HATES tummy time, fights sleep, and goes absolutely crazy when i put him down to do ANYTHING. When he does not want to do something he tenses up his whole body and kicks ferociously. I've heard that ones so young cannot throw tantrums but that is really what is seems like. Does anyone have any advice about what I can do?

  • It sounds like you need a break. Don't feel bad about talking some Mommy time. You and your son will both feel better for it.

  • You can't do much. Lay him in his crib with a bottle and turn on the monitor and walk away. Check on him every fifteen mins or so. Let him cry it out. Even if it's for an hour. He'll get over it eventually. It might take a few times, or even a lot of times, but by the end of one week he should be better for you. Don't feel bad about letting him cry. That's what babies do. They cry. Don't do it ALL the time, or anything like that, sometimes baby just wants mom. But try it, maybe it'll work. If not, call your doctor, maybe he has a hurnia(sp?) or something like that, that needs to be diagnosed. Good luck momma, and keep your head up =]

  • Buy a sling and wear him. You'll be amazed at how content he will become.

  • time to invest in a sling or baby back/stomach bag. this keeps u all hands free but still keeps him close to you. leave him with other people you know and trust and go to a spa! let them wash and rub the stress out of you! you deserve it Mommy!
