how old were yours when they smiled?

What to Expect says five weeks old is when the smiles are real, but I have yet to see a smile out of my six weeker! A friend's baby just smiled at 9 weeks. We must be so horrible for our babies to not like us enough to smile LOL... When did your little ones smile?

  • Well MarchMarie, my daughter didn't smile at me INTENTIONALLY until closer to 3 months. Now, she smiles ALL DAY. She wakes up smiling! You are not awful!! Babies have to learn how to express themselves. They don't automatically know that a smile is the expression they want to make. Soon enough, your baby will be smiling and then . . smiling nonstop!!
