runny nose, stuffy nose, sore throat, sneezing coughing. cold or allergies??

  • Either one.

    Allergies are usually accompanied by itchy eyes and nose, but not always.

    How I tell is that I take an allergy pill. If I clear up almost completely, I know it's allergies.

  • I agree with the previous poster - it can be either one.
    If a fever develops then it's a virus.

  • Either one. You could also get sinus headaches and facial numbness/pain with allergies. Trust me, I have allergies 10 months out of the year. Try a couple of doses of OTC allergy meds and if the symptoms go away, it's allergies. Colds tend to last 7-10 days. Allergies tend to come and go. I live on Zyrtec D for those 10 months.
