Does your pet's name change or evolve over time?

For instance, we got a bright yellow kitten whom we named initially Sundance. Our 2 1/2 year old (at that time) son called him Sunny-dance. That was eventually shortened to Sunny, which everybody assumed was Sonny. So in the end Sundance became Sonny over time. Does this happen with your pet's names?

  • my cats name is obsidian. I called him sid for short. then my son came along and we decided to name him sid lol. so we couldnt call the cat Sid, and obsidian sounds too close to sid. a nickname I had for my cat is mr. booba (dont ask, i'm wieird lol) then it evolved to mr. boobs. so I call him booba or mr. boobs, sometimes still obsidian. lmao

  • All my cats' names have change over time. Boomer became Boo. My best friend called him Scoob. Cinnamon became Minnie. She was a skinny little thing. When she got fat we started calling her Minnie Moo. Bailey gets called Bai Bai and Tigger has been shortened to Tig.

  • My dogs name is Roman, we usually still call him Roman. But a lot of times we call him pup pup because that is what our son calls him. We call him puppy a lot too!
