Is this illegal?

My husband keeps getting harassed by his bosses at work. My dad told him to take a tape recorder with him whenever the bosses want to have a meeting with him. He said just to tell them "you are being recorded and this may be used in a court of law". Is it legal to voice record if they know you're doing it? If anyone answers this, please have information to back up your answer. (like a legal website or something) Thanks...

  • From my understanding if you record someone without their consent, which is invasion of privacy its inadmissible in the court of law.
