  • nah...he will do it. He just needs more time. My son was 16 mos before he really walked. I finally told his siblings to put him down!

  • Dont be... my BFF's daughter just started walking about 2 weeks ago, she turned 16 months yesterday. He'll do it when he's ready. :)

  • My oldest didn't want anything to do with walking either. He wouldn't even try until 15 months. He would take a step realize he was walking and throw himself down and start crawling.
Don't worry he will be running before too long.

  • Don't worry at all! I thought something might be wrong with my youngest because he didn't walk until he was 16 months old. But everything was fine. He climbed everything, crawled every where and cruised along furniture but he would not walk until he was ready. Your son will do it when he feels ready don't worry. Hope this helps you feel a little better.

  • most babies start walking between 12-18 months. You still have plenty of time before you have to start worrying about developmental problems. If after 18 months he still isn't walking, then you can talk to the doctor. Until then, have no worries. Every baby is different. They tend to surprise us when they do it. My DD was 12 months and a few days old when she took her first steps (x-mas night). My friends son was 15 months when he took his. We were at her house, and out of the blue he just let go. You can try when he furniture crawls.. calling for him to come to you. But mostly, he will do it when he's ready.

  • My son had his first birthday and wasnt even thinking of walking. He would cruise but never try walking. We tried those toys that they push and walk with them. I think he was around 13 months and about two weeks later he just took off walking. I cried and I couldnt believe my eyes when he took off walking!!!!
