What is a good breakfast for energy? motivation ect.,?

  • regular oatmeal (not instant) gives energy and fills you up. It gives good energy not sugar crash energy. Add things to make it to your liking also. I add brown sugar and cinnamon to mine.

  • Do you have a great blender? Here is a smoothie recipe I found on the web that we can alter it to fit your tastes easily:

    The Ultimate Breakfast Smoothie!

    half a Banana
    four to six frozen strawberries
    half cup plain yogurt
    half to one cup orange juice
    one Tbsp Flax seeds (I use wheat germ)
    one Tbsp whey protein powder
    In a blender add the banana, strawberries, yogurt, and orange juice. Blend until smooth. Add the flax seeds and whey, blend until evenly distributed. Pour in two glasses and enjoy! Makes 2 smoothies

  • I make whole wheat oatmeal pancakes in the winter for breakfast. I also add applesauce and wheat germ to boost the nutritional value. They keep you feeling full and charged for several hours.

  • A whole grain (also full of protein) and fruit. I love to make cereal with cooked brown rice: a cup of rice, a cup of rice milk, maple syrup, dried cranberries.

  • I have found that the Fiber One granola bars are filling and give energy. Smoothies are a great option and you can eat those on the go.
