Getting concerned

I had my daughter a year and half ago, c-section, had tubes tied by what doctor said was a clamp. Am late by couple weeks, and did one test, said negative. Is it possible to still get pregnant if you had this type of tubal ligation?

  • Anything is possible, but it is more common fr women who have their tubes tied to miss cycles or have irregular cycles, by as much as several weeks off from their normal. And it is very uncommon to have anegative test and still be pregnant, so as long is it is negative I wouldnt worry to much.

  • Thanks, I don't mind having another child by adoption. But had two rough pregnancies, and would not want a third potential c-section.

  • it is possible, i worked with a lady that had clamps, she had already had 8 kids so she wanted to get that done, and 3 years later she found out that she was prego. but like the person before you said that with any kind of BC weather it be the pill, shot, or your tubs getting tied you can have missed periods

  • just wanted to add to the pregnancy test thing.. thats not true that if you get a negative test you arent pregnant.. it could be too early for a urine test to tell. and those tests arent god, so they arent 100% all the time, usually yes, but you have to have enough horomone in urine for that! good luck!
