Is anyone in their 20s with braces?

So I'm 21 and I'm FINALLY getting health insurance. I didn't have braces when I was younger, but I'm thinking it could be a possibility now...

I'm just a little nervous about being 21 and having tinsel teeth, LOL!

  • I am in my thirties and I plan to get braces this year! I've been seeing lots of "older" people with braces these days.

  • Haha. I had braces when I was younger, but failed to wear my retainers and ended up with a big gap inbetween my teeth. I sucked it up and got braces. I wanted to get those clear ones, but they are soooo spendy so I got the cheaper metal. I was a little self concious about them, but now I have beautiful teeth so it was all worth it.

  • My hubby just told me I look like I'm 16 anyway. LOL. I don't know if I should be flattered or freaked out! LOL.

  • You can get clear brackets (way less noticable than all metal but not as expensive as invisalign!) I had them and loved them. You couldn't even see my braces in pictures and in person it looked more like a retainer than braces. They're nice too bc the plastic doesn't cut your lips up like metal brackets do. When I had them it was $50 extra per a tooth but my insurance company covered it. Go ahead and spend the extra its totally worth it! GL!
