would you want to know if your 13 yr old is smoking?

we live in a small town where the high school and jr high is combined. My 10 and 12th grade daughters have been catching my husbands bf's daughter, a 7th grader, smoking.
Should I bring it up to the girls dad? or let him figure it out on his own?

  • I would tell HER that she either needs to stop or I will discuss it with her dad.

  • I think so, I would want to know if someone found my kid doing it.

  • Stay out of it, he may already know. She will get caught soon enough.

  • I would tell him, someone saw my son smoking (12) come to find out someone gave him weed to try out so we dealt with it, but hadn't I known it could of gotten worse or be given something worse. My husband and i had an opportunity to come up with a plan on how to educate him about drugs and put consequences to his actions.

  • Of course. Then I would ground her for a very long time. We do not take dangerous risks with our health. Period.
