Do you think it is important for children to be taught leadership skills?

  • At the very least, they need to be taught critical thinking skills.

  • Some people are born leaders...some just aren't. I agree with kaycee about critical thinking. Once they have that more or less under their belt, leadership skills will develop on their own I think.

  • Absolutely. They also need to be taught to be good team members. Does your elementary school participate in Problem Solvers? It is a great national program that teaches kids so much about cooperation and team work.

  • I think they should be taught how to critically analyze, problem solve and also how to do public speaking. These are all attributes of a good leader.
