Do you think it is important for children to be taught leadership skills?

  • Yes and no. I believe some kids are natural leaders and some are not. The ones who are not need to be nurtured so they can learn leadership skills and they need counselling by parents/teachers so they don't become simple followers.

  • Of course. But many will ever be taught because their parents dont have those skills. Or they think they do but don't.

  • Absolutely. They also need to be taught to be good team members. Does your elementary school or middle school or high school participate in Problem Solvers? It is a great national program that teaches kids so much about cooperation and team work.

  • They should know it, I think. Whether they become leaders or not because it will help them see the good and bad leaders. Everyone i sin a position where they have to lead, they are probably going to have kids someday, and all parents are leaders.
