I have an electric stove. How do I?

Clean the gook that has accumulated under the drip pans on the top of the stove? I bought new drip pans and want to clean all that black hardened stuff off before I do. Any good ideas that have worked for you?

  • Just wondering- you know you can lift up the "hood" of the stove, right? Some people don't know that.

  • Spray it with cleaner and let it soak. Then use a scrubby sponge. Softsoap works well, too. Or Barkeepers Friend.

  • My electrics stove hood doesn't flip up. It is so annoying all my other ones have but not the one I have now.

Scrub it with seasalt and a lemon. Sprinklw a little sea salt on the drip pan, then rub it with a lemon I have never tried it but I saw the ladies on How Clean is Your House do it and it looks like it works pretty good.
