How much is your rent/house payment?

Just wondering what people pay around the country.

Please give the city and if it is the average where you live.

You can post anon if you are worried about people knowing your business.

  • Our house payment is 525.00 (including property taxes AND homeowner's insurance). We have a 3 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath (the main bathroom is HUGE, with whirlpool tub, and enclosed laundry closet), eat in dining room, living room, "man cave", art studio, screen porch, 1 car garage. Nice size yard, fenced.

We live in a small rural town in Southwest Ohio.

  • 895 for a two bedroom, one bath duplex with a decent back yard. I live in a semi decent town in Texas and this is not the norm where I live. Apartments here that have to bedrooms start at 900 bucks and up unless you want to live in a sh*t hole then you might get an apartment for like 500.

  • In Austin we pay $640 for a 1bd/1bth/1 study. When we first moved in we were paying $550/month, but the rent has been raised every year. Even at the current price, it's still a bit cheaper than a lot of apartments around here, though I'm sure you could find way cheaper if you were willing to live in crappier complexes.

As for houses, I think the cheapest out here is $700-800/month for a 3 bdr in a not-so-great area.
