  • The mucus plug is usually really thick like snot with a yellow/greenish tint to it. It can come out all at once or over a few weeks. discharge is usually more like glue and white, sometimes clear and runny.

  • The mucous plug is exactly what it sounds like.
It's usually a heftier amount than regular discharge. Depending on when the mucous plug shows up - mine coincided with bloody show, it can have a few streaks of blood.
The mucus plug often looks like a jelly-like chunk of discharge that is clear, slightly pink, or tinged with a small amount of blood. Sometimes, instead of a jelly-like chunk, in some women the mucus plug looks like stringy mucus or a sticky discharge.
