How do you interpret it when you are told you are "rough around the edges?"

  • That you have your own special way of dealing with things. You may tend to be a little blunt or straight forward. You may also tend to jump to conclusions or get angry easily or you tend to hurt others before they hurt you. Unless they are talking about your looks then it could mean your taking care of yourself like you used to. But it usually refers to your personality and being to rough when speaking to or about others.

  • I've always used it to mean that someone is almost refined. This is hard to explain. It's like when you are working on a project. You have everything you need and in place, but there is just a few finishing touches and it will be perfect. The person just needs a few finishing touches.
