Can you cut one dollar from your 2009 budget?
“He enacts a $1 trillion stimulus and then calls for $100 million in cuts?” said Brian Riedl, a budget analyst at the Heritage Foundation, a conservative policy organization. Mr. Obama’s proposal, Mr. Riedl said, was tantamount to asking a family that spends $40,000 a year to cut $1 out of its budget.

  • Heck, he could probably cut the budget plenty by finding a barber in Washington.

  • Wow, we cut more than that when we turned our thermostat down an extra degree. We keep our thermostat set at 64 degrees in the winter...that means I wear a sweater most days.

...just a note to the big O with his 82 degree White House...get a sweater.

  • We cut 50K out of our budget over the years. Yeah really sucks going from 100+ to around 50K or less. It is doable though just cut all the junk out.

  • That is just a gesture, if you read all the info about it. Yeah, I agree, it's a little thin, but it is not meant to be the full budget cuts.

  • I try to cut as much as I can, whenever I can.
Saving money is saving money no matter how little money you save.
