do they have to order one or can you ask?

ok so im having problems with hpt iv had a few negatives a positive and then a negative and the i say positive but hubby say negative.so i want a blood test and a sono.i KNOW im preg i can feel it and i have every sign in the book so can i tell them i want a sono or do they get to say if i get one or not??would i have a better chance getting one at the er??

  • go to a doc office. they will do a blood test.

  • The doc will usually do a urine preg test, the ones at the doctor's office is just as reliable as over-the-counter ones, but they do one to confirm. Then they have you go get a bunch of blood work to check your hormone levels and make sure your not anemic, then usually a couple of weeks later they will schedule an ultrasound, it is done vaginally during the first trimester.

  • The docs office will not do a sono unless you have a positive blood test. Then sometimes they will and some times they won't order the sono. It depends on your situation and the office policy.
