  • I can't imagine reading an obit for an 89 year old man named Jaden. Not a name I'd choose.

  • This can be said for just about every name out there. What was once a "unique" name which no other child had, is now the most popular name everywhere you turn. It happens all the time. Even the names you would never expect to be popular are exactly that. For example, when I first heard my son's name years ago, it wasn't very common at all. I think I knew exactly ONE person with the name. Since my son has been born, I've run into someone everyday (whether it be at school, the playground, Walmart, etc) who has a child with the same name. Personally though, I don't let things like whether or not a name is popular or over used get to me. If I like the name, then I'm going to use it. End of story.

  • There are a lot of them.  They are nice names.  I never considered any of them though, and I'm glad because I don't want my child going by Aidan D. throughout school.  It doesn't bother me at all though that so many people are naming their kids those names though.  I really don't care what people name their kids because I don't want people talikin' smack about my kids' names.  My first son's name was very uncommon when he was born.  Four years later, it was about as popular as Aidan, Jaden, Caden, and Haden.  The only thing that bothers me about those names is all the different spellings.  I know what it's like to have to spell my name for everyone.  Even here on CM where people see my name written, they still spell it wrong.
