Soften PlayDoh

Does anyone have a way to make PlayDoh that has stiffened softer?

  • Yes, water. The playdoh site has these two methods:

    Add a drop of water and knead it. Keep doing this until it's the right "thickness" for you.
    Wrap it in a damp paper towel and put it in a plastic bag overnight. Then knead it well.

    I've use both and they work great.

    Mostly I just toss and replace since at Walmart you can get single cans for under a buck.

  • oh yes i have plenty of experience in the playdoh factory.... add a tiny bit of water to the cup(like maybe less than a tsp or so) close the lid and leave it overnight. and in the morning or the next time you use it again. you need to play with a while and get it back to the consistence it was before. it works everytime for me.
