Container Gardening

Does anyone know of some good resource about container gardening? I am going to give it a shot this summer and am wanting some direction and guidence.

  • make sure you have good drainage holes either on the sides or bottom with good flow.. this will help prevent your garden from drowning...
    Also use egg shells and used coffee grounds mixed at the bottom of each pot, this provides nutrients to the garden...

  • Container gardening can be pretty easy, depending on the plant. I've seen so many books on this, I wouldn't know which one to recommend! But you should either check one out from your local library or go buy one. Then you can have something to keep referring back to, unlike if someone just sat you down and told you a whole bunch of stuff to remember :)

  • P.Allen Smith is a wonderful man to consider his gardening techiques. You can find him on T.V. or he has many books out...probably can get them at WalMart or free from the library.
