  • I'm diabetic. I snack on cheese sticks, hard boiled eggs, celery ribs spread with cream cheese and sprinkled with sunflower seeds or nuts, a handful of mixed nuts, cottage cheese sprinkled with sweetener and a bit of cinnamon, non fat plain yogurt with a bit of sweetener and sprinkled with a handful of All-Bran cereal, cherry tomatoes stuffed with cream cheese....none of these raise the blood sugar a significant amount like crackers or fruit would.

  • fresh fruits and veggies are always a great choice anything using peanut butter is great as well since the protein in peanut butter helps to keep blood sugars stable. Cookies made with splenda are a great treat as well! Sugar free pudding and Jello snacks are great as well. Crackers with summer sausage or deli meat and cheese are my husbands favorite. He also likes fiber one bars or chex mix bars for a treat
