  • see i almost have the same problem. but the only way i can get my 3 year old to poop is to make him sit there until he does. i tell him that all big boys poop in the big boy potty. sometimes he cries and says no he don't want to poop but i am consistent with him and will not let him up. i think the longest we have stayed in the bathroom in about 35 minutes. but you know it is worth it. after he is done pooping i can see on his face he feels real accomplished and he says yayy mama i did it i did a good job.
so good luck with your little one i hope what i said helped you a little.

  • get him that book "everybody poops" some kids just don't realize that it's totally normal. They think it's weird/gross. Also, have him sit on the potty next to mom or dad when you go. If they see that mom & dad have no worries about pooping, he may lose his worries too.

  • If you've got him on a little potty, move him to the toilet. It is pretty gross and smells in the little potty. He might be less disgusted that way. GL!
