Any other mom's in the sandwich generation?

"sandwich generation" is when you are raising your own family and taking care of aging/ill parent(s). Is there a group on here? Could one possibly be started?

  • I'm in that generation. My mother lives with us because she is disabled.

  • As the youngest of 9 kids raised by my grandparents, I am helping my 2 aunts and 1 uncle that all live close (we all live within 1 mile of my grandmother). I am taking her in for surgery in, ohhh, about 3 hours from now. LOL Her only limitation is severe arthritis. So between 4 of us, we take care of her meals, housework, yard work, etc. We are hoping this surgery (for spinal stenosis) will help her be able to move around a lot better soon. Otherwise, she's in great health for her age. No problems with Alzheimer's for this lady!

  • Would you ladies be interested in a group on this? Name suggestions for the group?
