  • She will adjust more quickly than you will! Plan lots of extra time to get stuff done so you can play and spend time showing her around. Leave some empty boxes out and let her play in them while you unpack...amybe make a fort! she may have trouble going to sleep in her new room, try to stick to the same routine! good luck

  • I agree with the above poster. Our daughter did great when we moved. She at 2 was extremely excited! We just stuck to routine and made sure that her room was the first one done so that she felt at home. Your child will do fine, PLUS they will have lots of fun exploring their new area!!

  • And I realize she is only 2 but you can get her involved in the move. Help her pick out her wall color or if it's an apartment and you can't paint have her pick out removeable decals for her room to decorate it.....get her excited about hanging those when she gets to her new house and her new room! You can find those wall decals at Target or Wal-Mart for about $10....My son has had Thomas the tank engine ones in his room for years, if he gets bored he peels them off and moves them around, or stores them!

  • Just make sure you talk about it alot, so it isn't a surprise to her in anyway, let her help with some stuff and make sure youleave out her favorite toys to pack last. Good luck!
