If any of you use cloth diapers, do they cause more rashes?

  • less rash with cloth diapers. No chemicals on baby's bottom to irritate it. :)

  • I use cloth diapers and I do not think they have anymore rashes. If you do not get your diapers clean enough then yes they will cause a rash but in general no.

  • I haven't used them yet-- I'm pregnant with my first now. I do, however, intend to use them. My research suggests that cloth diapers actually reduce the incidence of diaper rash since the kids are usually changed more frequently.

  • Olivia has only had a rash when she was in a disposable (not everytime in a disposable but a couple times) she hasn't had a rash in a cloth diaper though!

  • This is very helpful. My mom said when she used cloth diapers with her kids, they caused more rashes AND had to be changed more frequently. Thanks for posting, ladies!
