  • AS FAR AS I KNOW IT IS A FLU STRAIN THAT ORIGINATED IN PIGS. NOW IT HAD MUTATED IT'S DNA WITH THAT OF BIRDS AND HUMAN STRAINS. SO IT CAN BE PASSED TO HUMANS IN THE FORM OF DROPLETS (SNEEZES OR COUGHING) AND TO THOSE WHO WORK IN DIRECT CONTACT WITH PIGS SUCH AS FARMERS OR PIG WRANGLERS. MOST CASES HAVE BEEN FOUND IN MEXICO AND A HANDFUL HERE IN THE U.S. SO FAR IT IS TOLERATING THE ANTIBIOTICS AND THAT IS ALL I KNOW. HOPE IT HELPS.

  • Swine flu has been around for years and was easily spread from pigs to humans. The difference is that in the past it could not pass from human to human, but now it is. People in Mexico have died from it, and most of them were in their primes not the elderly or infants as with normal flu deaths. No one in the US has died and only one has been hospitalized.

  • It's a virus, like the flu. No one in the US had died from it. It's not as bad as people make it out to be here. It's very much like the regular flu. Yes, the sick and young can die from it but there is no vaccine for it right now. About the time the scare is over they will have one. That great government of ours
