What do I do with my son and his bags underneath his eyes?

My son is 2 and its been about a week and hes had these awful bags around his eyes. Even when he gets enought sleep they are still there! I just dont know what to do. And underneath his right eye is this red spot. I've tried putting ointment on it, but it just doesnt go away. Awful things run thru my mind, any help or comment would be appreciated. Thanx

  • Are they dark bags if so he could be lacking a vitamin in his diet. If they are red it could be an infected tear duct. If its flesh tone and swollen it cold be sinuses. I would check to make sure he wasn't bit by something if he has a red spot and call the doctor just to be safe.

  • They might be allergic shiners. My nephews have them all the time in the spring and summer.
