A/C & Electric Bill...How much are you expecting to pay during the summer months?

We have a payment plan with the electric company.
But I know that during the months we use the air conditioner we pay approximately $120.00 a month.
How much will you next bill be for the next couple of months for a/c?

  • We have an energy efficient ac so in the summer months is our cheapest electric bills. in the winter we pay between 300-400... usually high 300's though for our heat... and in the summer we pay right around 100. And thats running the AC pretty much ALL the time.

  • Depends on the weather and how much we are home, we are only really home from 7 pm till the next morning. So maybe, $70 on average for the whole summer. But this is for a 4 bedroom home, our rates our cheap because we belong to a co-op utility.

  • 64 dollars a month. I'm on a payment plan so my bill is fixed. Not like it would really matter because I don't mind the heat and will not turn on AC till june and it would go off in september.

  • If I can get my husband to grow up a bit about the warm weather then I hope I'll be paying around $80-100. We'll see, I'll see after this first bill.

  • We actually pay more in the winter to keep the house warm ($1800 for the winter costs). In the summer my electric bill is at its lowest, even with the A/C blasting to battle against the 100 degree temperatures. On average it is around $75-100 a month for June, July and August. It dips in April, May, September and October as we turn off the heat or A/C (depending on the season).

Wow I didn't know. I guess it's due to that the price of gas increasing in the last years.

  • Probably 50-75 bucks. Where we live does not get very hot usually only in the low 80s to high 70s. We open the windows and have the fans going during the day and at night it is usually in the 60s so we have to close them.
