Are pickles good for you as a snack if your "dieting"?

Like you know how you would have an apple or a orange... is a pickle good?

  • No, avoid them when trying to loose weight. They make you retain water! Eat Celery! Lots and Lots of Celery! Your body burns more calories digetsing it then it has! So you eat 10 cals worth of celery and you just burned off 30 cals!!

  • yes and no the vinegar is good to help you loose weight but the salt isnt good because it makes you retain water

  • Pickles are a pretty nutritionally empty food. Add to that an extremely high sodium count and I would def. not replace an apple, orange or pear with a pickle.

  • No. The it has a lot of salt like the others said, and that will make you retain water weight.
