why does my son throw up??

when my son was around 3 months we started the routine to put him to bed drowsy so he would be accustomed to going to bed on his own. at around 6 months when he got his first teeth this routine went out the window. ever since, i have been laying with him, feeding him a bottle until he falls asleep and then when hes sound asleep i put him in his bed. he is going to be 1 year old in a week and i think its about time he go to bed on his own. problem is even if he is half asleep when i lay him down he pops up and screams so much and so hard that he throws up. i have stood over his crib and rubbed his head and back but he still pukes. im finding it hard to let him cio cause im cleaning a sheet like once a week and its frustrating to constantly change him and his bed before trying again. why is he throwing up and what can i do to change this (his throwing up and his routine?)

  • some kids throw up when they cry alot. my friends kids do this all the time. there isn't really anything you can do about it except try to calm him down before they get to that point. i really don't know what to tell you about getting him to sleep on his own since if he cries it out you have to go change him and the sheets. i just wanted to let you know about the throwing up, for some kids that is normal (hers are 4 and 2 and still do it, so it may just be something you have to work around for awhile)

  • jon and kate plus 8. silly reference but yea my brother threw up when he didn't get his way ... at first it was an accident but it was coddled and grew into a huge problem.

it'd ignore it till he calmed down. he isn't going to die if he's gross and if he realizes that puking gets him out of doing what he doesn't wanna do you may live in a kind of hell for quite some time.
