Will they go to heaven too? It not fair if they dont!!

So when Jesus comes, will all the children (like babies and those who are too young to know about religion) go to heaven or be left behind? How about animals/pets? What about mentally disabled people or people in a coma?

  • Children under the age of accountability (usually by age twelve but God knows each person is an individual) have a FREE ticket to heaven since they are not knowledgeable about right and wrong. ANIMALS do NOT SIN. They only do what God created them to do, and therefore have no need of a Savior the way we humans do. They have never made God angry. THe Bible states in Ecclesiastes and in Job as wel as in Revelation that animals have souls and wll go to the same place we do when they die. If you need me to i will look up exact verses for you.

  • How could God be a JUST GOD and as merciful as He claims to be if He left behind the helpless? Only those who CHOOSE TO REJECT HIM will not make it to heaven.

  • children are the most innocent people in the world. They will go back to Heaven. I believe that mentally challanged people will too because what wrong do they do? people in a coma...well that is for Heavenly Father to decide because they did have a life before they went into a coma and you dont know what they did.

  • from what i understand. yes. if anyone would go... the children would. there is an age of understanding or something that we reach when we definitely know right from wrong, understand consequences, and will most definitely be held accountable for what we've done.

animals.. i'm not so sure. idk about that.

i wonder about the mentally disabled as well. and imo, it's the same lines of the children.. if/when they reach that level of understanding. then they can decide whether or not they'll believe in christ.

people in a coma. i suppose if they understood before that happened... then their safe. if not.. oh well.

  • every person has a dfferent age of accountability. a mental handicapped person is not able to make the same logical decisions as person of normal mental capacity of the same age. children, mentally handicapped(depending on the degree of handicap) and animals will be in Heaven in my opinion.

  • I was told that all the children under 12 will go up in the rapture. Becaue 12 is when Jesus started teaching and knew what he was sent here to do...

  • All children under the age of accountability will definitely go to heaven. Mentally disabled people who do not understand the difference between right and wrong fit into the same category. Mentally they are still children. Coma patients --not up for me to say. It depends on their life beforehand. Are they child or adult? Have they followed the steps of salvation? etc. Pets --it doesnt say in the bible that pets will be there. That's all I can say on the matter.

  • Okay, a lot of these answers are right, but they arent explained correctly. God looks at our hearts. So yes, there is an age of accoutability and I believe it to be about 9-12 depending on maturity...again its about the heart condition. Its not a black or white issue. Each person has a relationship with God based on their knowledge of him, so while that might be non existant for one person and a little bit for another, God sees each persons thoughts and intents clearly. Hes a loving and compassionate God and I know that hes just. If a person has willfully rebelled against him, he grieves, but they will not spend eternity with him. Its heart breaking to him. Its like one of our children who won't heed our instruction and goes to do his own thing to his own demise. We cry, we hurt and we mourn, but we let them go because we cant control them. Anyway...its about whats going on in the heart.
